This is a story of Ichcha, born in the slums of a city but one who desires much more than what her destiny has in store for her. In the hope of giving her a better life, Ichcha’s mother joins a rich household as a maid.

Ichcha befriends Tapasya (the daughter of the lady of the house), but soon learns the hard lesson that servants will never be considered as part of a family, no matter how much they sacrifice for them.

However things change when Mahindra, suitor of Tapasya, falls in love with good natured Ichcha. Can she dare to expect him to stand up for her & their love? Or can the poor never be allowed to be happy?

Set in rural Rajasthan, ‘Balika Vadhu’ traces the arduous journey of child bride Anandi from the brink of childhood to womanhood. Married at the tender age of eight, to an equally young Jagdish, she enters a new world which is at once alienating and confusing. and torn away from the merriment of childhood and her family, she has to accept and accustom herself to this new family of strangers, new relationships and accept her roles as a friend, lover, wife and a mother as she forges her way in the world. ‘Balika Vadhu’ very sensitively portrays the plight of children who are unwittingly forced into marriage, in the name of tradition, and have to bear the repercussions for the rest of their lives.

pastry disaster........!!!

recently one youth lost his life after entering into a competition of eating as much as pastries in one minute. his wind pipe got choked leading to hid death. saurabh sabharwaal, aged 23, an employee of nokia siemens company,died two days ago in this incident. media were just trying to highlight the pastry thing, but not the cause which lead to his death. one of which was eating in so much hurry ans secondly negligence on the part of company organising commitee.
different media channels were showing the news differently. on aaj tak, it was shown the guy used to work in a call centre, and they were showing the comments of hr head of nokia siemens..... enough to catch their diplomatic policy......and they were highlighting news like "MAUT KI TEESRI PASTRY" . this type of irresponsible attitude leads to kids n youngsters copying acts shown by the
media. how can we frget "SHAKTIMAAN"? that claimed lives of many kids......... so media plz be responsible enough to play the news onscreen...... dnt make it a sensation........like a saas bahu saagaa............... may god gv peace to the soul .........

Playing The Cast Cards in India - A fashion........

In india , since the inception of british raaj and even after that , the ruling parties and the oppositions have been tkaing advantage of one single thing......... dat is "cast" . No doubt cast and its beliefs are deep inherited in our genetic make up means in our thinking . But Indians need to understand that to choose a good government, cast is not the criteria. many politicians are using the so called "cast card " to fetch votes. Any educated person can understand thet loyality towards public depends on one's inner qualities not his or her cast label. We the people of india should be aware enough to remove the bandage of cast from our eyes, if we want our government to be collection of people who can work for "INDIA", not for hindus, muslims and other ethnic groups..... its time to wake up india.........

after 2 years of big publicity n presentations, gossip, tantrums thrown on him, the man came up
shining as a star. a star, which has the potential to give America a new direction, a new hope. for many years the nation has been mourning , terrorism, racism and many such obstacles that will come in his way, so he has got along way to go. But definitely India can hope for a better strategic partnership from America this time. he wil be joining on 20th january 2009. so cheers for obama......... the 44th us president........ voilaaaaaaaaaaaaa...........!!!!!
